By accessing and using Orionis ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Orionis provides an online platform that connects travelers with accommodation providers across West Africa. We facilitate the discovery, comparison, and booking of hotels, resorts, guest houses, and other lodging options. We act as an intermediary: the accommodation and related services are supplied by independent properties, and your stay is also subject to that property's own house rules and policies.
To make a booking, you must create an account with accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your country to use the Platform.
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the property. When you book, you authorize us and our payment partners to take payment for your reservation and any extras you select. A booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation from us, and forms a contract for your stay between you and the property.
Prices are displayed in the property's local currency and, at checkout, include applicable taxes and platform fees unless otherwise stated. Optional extras are itemized before you pay. Payments are processed securely by our payment partners (Stripe, Paystack, and Flutterwave); by paying, you authorize the relevant processor to charge your chosen payment method. You are responsible for any bank, card, or currency-conversion charges applied by your own provider.
Cancellation policies vary by property and are clearly displayed before booking. Free cancellation is available for most properties up to the cut-off shown on the booking page; late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method, and the time to appear depends on your payment provider. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us before raising a chargeback so we can resolve it.
You agree to use Orionis only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse the Platform — for example by making fraudulent or speculative bookings, impersonating others, scraping or harvesting data, attempting to gain unauthorized access, uploading malware, infringing others' rights, or posting unlawful, hateful, or misleading content. We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach these rules.
You are responsible for content you submit, including reviews, photos, and messages, and you confirm you have the right to share it. By submitting content, you grant Orionis a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it in connection with the service. Reviews must reflect a genuine stay; we may decline to publish or may remove content that is fake, abusive, or violates our guidelines.
The Orionis Platform, including its software, design, trademarks, and content (other than user content and property listings), is owned by Orionis or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Platform for booking and managing stays; you may not copy, modify, resell, or create derivative works from it without our permission.
Accommodation and on-site services are provided by independent properties, not by Orionis. Each property is responsible for the accuracy of its listing and for delivering your stay in line with its own policies. The Platform may also link to or rely on third-party services — such as maps, social sign-in, and payment providers — that are governed by their own terms; we are not responsible for those services.
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we review listings and work to keep the service accurate and available, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every listing detail is complete and current. Any reliance you place on listing information or guest reviews is at your own discretion.
Orionis acts as an intermediary between travelers and property owners. While we verify all listings, we are not liable for the condition, safety, or quality of any property. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid to us for our services, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
You agree to indemnify and hold Orionis harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Platform, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, create risk or legal exposure, or where required by law. Obligations that by their nature should survive — such as payment, indemnity, and liability terms — continue after your account ends.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any non-waivable consumer rights you have in your country of residence, disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Nigeria. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any dispute informally.
We may update these terms as our services or the law change. We will post the updated terms with a new effective date, and where changes are material we will give reasonable notice. Continuing to use the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
